Chapter 1
I am going down the best slide on the best playground ever my day was great I got a 99% on my math test and had a great snack. My hands let go of the slick sides of the big bule slide and pushed me away from the top and down the slide. I went down the slide going side to side and really fast I reached the bottom of the slide felling a little dizzy and all of a sudden two girls named Sarah and Bella jumped out from behind the slide and said "your hair is ugly and you have ugly glasses" and then ran away laughing, this was the beginning of the worst day ever. My hands got sweaty and there were tears in my eyes but I knew if I got in a fight I would be in big trouble from my second grade teacher Mrs. Sticks.
Mrs. Sticks called us in and we started reading our books for LA I was reading a great book called The Boxcar Children. I was really into the book I didn't hear Mrs. Sticks say " Rose please come over here I need you" " Yes" I said and then jumped up from the fuzzy green chair in the back of the room and walked over to her. " Yes" I said again " I would like to see what you are reading" she said " I am reading The Boxcar Children and it is a really good book"she nodded in agreement and then said " you can go now" and then I walked away from her desk. When walking back to my desk I thought how are thw boxcar childern living alone without a family and people to love except for the people they are with.
I sat down at lunch trying to make day as great as possible but that didn't last long. I was sitting down at lunch talking with my best friend Nikki and we were talking about what we were going to do outside and all of a sudden Sarah and Bella walked up to me and Nikki and said that she was ugly but she isn't " that was really mean you should apologize to her or get out of here." They gave me a mean face and then walked back to their table where they looked at us in till lunch was over.
I didn't know why they were doing this because everyone says I am a fun and generous girl but I think their problem is my skin and hair because I have something called albinism when my hair, skin and eyes have no pigment witch means that there is no color and that is what I think they have a problem with that because they think I am different from everyone else but I am not I just look a little different then everyone else.
I caught up to my brother Mike after lunch and told him what happened with Bella and Sarah and he said "just ignore them but if they do it again tell mom ok." "Ok" I said in reply and then we walked away.
Chapter 2
I jumped off of the bus with a plop on to my gravel driveway and then I ran to the house to say hello to my mom when I walkd through the door I dropppd all of my stuff and ran in to her arms she almost fell over becasue of me and then Mike walked in and said "Rose get off of mom rigth this instant" in his grownup voice " you are not the boss of me mom and dad are" I said in my baby voice.
